Like a Diapie In the Sky

Macy loves to sing.  She will just start at any given moment singing…and most of the time it is her own collaboration of songs – a little Jingle Bells, If You’re Happy and You Know It, B-I-B-L-E, and maybe even Camptown Races.  (She loves horses.)

She just started singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” – which I used to sing to her a lot as an infant, but haven’t sung much lately.  Out of nowhere, her little voice started singing “Twinkle, twinkle” and it took me a minute to realize that though some of the words were indistinct, the melody was right on target.

Here is what her version sounds like – (I would love to get this on video one day)

Twinkie, twinkie little star, how I wonder…are

Up a-bove the worl so high

Like a diapie in the sky

Twinkie, twinkie little star, how I wonder…are

I guess Macy has heard the word “diaper” more than she has heard the word “diamond.”  Hmm.  Keep on singing, baby girl.  Maybe one day you’ll be writing your own music.
