‘Twas the Night Before

‘Twas the night before Christmas…er…leaving

When all through the house

Not a creature was stirring

Since Macy was sleeping

The bags were all packed by the front door with care

In hopes that they wouldn’t go over the 50 pound limit

The Georges were nestled all snug in the Magidson household

While visions of plane rides and layovers danced in their heads (and prayers for seats together!)

With Jeff on the couch (watching the Dallas/Miami game) and me at the computer

Settling in for one last night in America.

To all of you out there who opened your homes to us, all of you who invited us out to dinner, all of you who prayed for us, and all of you who played with Macy – or let her pet your dogs and cats – thank you.  Our time back in the States has been such a blessing, it is difficult to say goodbye.  But we remember that this is not really goodbye (even though it sounds cheesy to say so), but see you later (gator, as Macy says).  We will miss you and we love you.  Thank you.

  1. I hate that we didn’t get to spend more time with you, and I hate that you’re already gone! You are ALWAYS in our thoughts and prayers, no matter how far apart we are. Love you!

  2. we’re so glad you were blessed so extraordinarily and that you made so many wonderful memories while on the west side. even so, we’re so thankful you’re returning to our side of the pond! welcome back to the east side friends! 🙂

  3. Miss you already! Hope the travel fairies are on your side. The boonster will have to come visit his future girlfriend in “East Asia” and yes I believe in arranged marriages. You know i was right when I said: “Are you ready to be my new best friend?”
