A couple of weeks ago, Macy was digging in her dresser drawer and found an outfit that her grandmother had given her (this isn’t hard – one of her grandmothers has given her pretty much all of the clothing she owns). She pulled it out and said, “Mommy! Mommy! I want sand!”
She had worn this particular outfit several weeks prior when we had taken her to play in the sand.
And still remembered.
I had to explain to her in two-year-old talk that it had been raining for days and there wouldn’t be any sand to play with right now. She was sad, and I’m sure I had to distract her with a snack or something to make it better.
So today, after having several sunny days in a row, it was time to revisit the sand.
We wore the same outfit.
We then had some time to play on the swings, slide and rocking toys. Macy liked the red chicken.
The culture here is to put up “peace” signs when you take a picture. I have no idea why, but this is what people do when their picture is being taken. So Macy has started doing it her own way – she can’t quite put up only two fingers, so she puts them all up.
About two minutes after we took this picture, Macy actually managed to rock this thing so hard that she fell over. I didn’t even know they could fall over like that. Apparently, with the right amount of strength they can.
I didn’t take a picture of that. 🙂
