Close Call

Today I left Selah and Macy in Macy’s room – for JUST a minute.  I had to run out to do something and each girl was playing by herself so I thought I at least had 60 seconds to get it done.

Then I heard the thump.

I ran back in there.

Selah was on the floor where I had left her, looking at a baby doll laying next to her.  On her other side was a different baby doll.  It looked like they had been lined up that way.  She smiled at me.

“What are you doing, Macy?”

“I jumped over Selah.”

“Um, Macy?”

“Yes, Mommy.”

“We don’t jump over Selah.  She might get hurt.”

“Ok, Mommy.”

And she went back to playing.

Next time I have to get something done, I’ll probably just pick up Selah.
