While we were cleaning out some of my mom’s things, we found a pink cowboy hat. I was kind of already in the “give it away” mode and my first reaction was just to get rid of it. I couldn’t imagine why Macy would ever need it. But my aunt suggested that I keep it and just let her play with it. It IS pink, after all.
Who knew it would come in so handy?
First, for Go Texan day at Macy’s preschool…
And then for the Rodeo!! Yee-haw!
It had been a couple of years since we had been to the rodeo, but I remembered how much Macy loved it.
Here’s a quick flashback –
This year, we ventured out with one of Macy’s favorite people – Liam – and one of mine – his mommy, Amber.
We started out in the petting zoo…
The sheep says baa!
Then time for a quick photo shoot
Hello, Macy! You’ve changed a bit from the last time we did this…
At some point during the day, we traded our pink hat for our pink tiara. Ah, well.
And the final part of our day was spent at Fun on the Farm. So much fun for kiddos – from “planting” your own veggies, riding on the tractor, playing in the corn and milking a cow. I’m pretty sure Macy’s ready to move out of the city. 🙂
Tractor riding is serious business
And yes, I know this horse looks real on film, but I promise he isn’t. 🙂
Happy rodeo y’all!
